Name: Sophia McNab
Based in: London
I graduated from the University of Edinburgh this summer and have now moved back to London to live with my parents and cats. Edinburgh had a big impact on me, and aside from my History degree, I left with a determination to become a full-time environmental campaigner. If it pays the bills, even better – but no luck so far! Now that I’m living in London, I am an intern at Forum for the Future. I can’t wait for COP18 – to organize some attention-grabbing actions and make sure all eyes are on Doha as the negotiators gamble with our future.
I have spent the last few years since my physics degree getting experience around the energy and renewables sector, in London and Prague. Particularly interested in the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, behaviour change and global carbon equity.
An Edinburgh Uni grad with a relentless energy do positive, progressive and strategic change. I’m a fan of social justice, organising and rarely find enough hours in the day.
In my ‘free time’ I love to walk, read, practice yoga, host friends and debate.

International Campaigner for UKYCC and 2011 delegate to COP17. I am currently taking a Law degree at the University of Hull. I’ve been a campaigner on student issues since I was 14 but my main focus now is the affect climate change is having on human rights. I’m also a football fanatic that takes time coaching and playing.
Studies Economics at university but gets very frustrated by the focus on competitive markets as the basis and solution to everything and is very grateful to UKYCC as an outlet. International Co-Director, previously part of home team for UKYCC delegation to COP 17. I try to make sure everybody is happy, energised and feels like they know what they are doing. Likes: surfing, knitting, pub quizzes, naps and vegemite
Dislikes: marmite and sambucca
