Dear Supporters,

Let us a tell you a story.

One year ago, two enthusiastic climateers came back from a voyage to the Arctic with a vision. They could see a country filled with passionate, powerful young people building a better Britain – a country where the transport system made sense, energy was clean and renewable, and green jobs awaited all school leavers and graduates.

Twelve months later, the youth climate movement is brewing. Not only is the UKYCC a broad coalition of organisations, with a passionate and powerful team, but from Aberdeen to Aberystwyth and Sussex to Lincoln, we are getting to work and gearing up for something very special. At Power Shift (Oct 9-12), all of us will learn the skills of community organising and get ready to put on one heck of a show – the 350 Day of Action.

Are you ready?

We want you! Join the organising team by applying for the following positions before noon on Friday August 21st.

Sometimes it can be easy to forget how far we’ve come in the last couple of years. Remember when most people didn’t even know what a carbon footprint was?! Well, here’s some more good news from the youth climate movement:

  • A French Youth Climate Coalition is being set up!
  • We’re helping our friends at the Youth Climate Coalitions in Nigeria and Kenya : )
  • The Copenhagen Delegation and Outreach Team are getting going – they are AMAZING!
  • We’ve got more people involved through the UK Youth Parliament, National Trust, MADE In Europe and lots of other amazing organisations
